Acer shirasawanum Jordan

'Jordan' is sure to be an eye-catcher with its neon yellow leaves in early spring.  This vigorous maple is both very cold hardy and heat tolerant.  Its leaves may appear tinged with red if planted in full sun.  Fall colors are red and orange.  The bark is gray with vertical white striping. 'Jordan' was discovered by Fratelli Gilardelli Nursery in Italy.  Its name is the English version of his son Giordano.
