Found as a seedling of ‘Purple Ghost’ by Talon Buchholz, ‘Frosted Purple’ is a reticulated variegated maple. Leaves are purple with a frosted cream color and a darker veining. Fall colors are orange to red. ‘Frosted Purple’ is quite an eye-catcher in any garden. It may reach 8 feet in ten years.
