Acer palmatum Ryu sei

‘Ryu sei’ is a relatively new unique weeping maple from Kobayashi Nursery in Japan.  Leaves are palmate, not dissected.  Color is green in spring and summer, changing to orange in fall.  This unusual tree is the most pendulous of all maples.  If not staked, it becomes a groundcover.  ‘Ryu sei’ is quite the diva in full sun.  Great for narrow, tight spaces.
