Acer palmatum Aka kawa hime

‘Aka kawa hime’ is the semi dwarf form of ‘Sango kaku.’  Leaves are yellow-green on bright red shoots.  ‘Aka kawa hime’ was found by Del Loucks at Del’s Japanese Maple Nursery.  Height is 10 feet in ten years.  The name means “small red bark.”
