Acer palmatum Emerald Lace

‘Emerald Lace’ is a fast grower with pendulous branches.  Its dissected leaves emerge yellowish-green in spring, turning darker green in summer.  Fall color is unexpectedly red.  ‘Emerald Lace’ does well in Japanese maple gardens as its color contrasts pleasantly with other green and red maples.  This unique cultivar grows to 6 feet in ten years and does well in sun and part shade.
