‘Mikazuki’, which means “crescent moon”, is another appealing cultivar from Talon Buchholz of Oregon. Each lobe is undulated and rolled down, giving a narrow and longer appearance of a crescent moon. In spring, leaves are red with deep purple veining. By summer, leaves will turn creamy with green veining. Fall colors are orange and red. This upright maple with a bushy habit can reach 8 feet in ten years.
