‘Twisted Spider’ is listed as a green palmatum. Leaves emerge red before turning green. Leave shape varies between wide-lobed and narrow, almost linear. Leaves do not lie flat, but are twisted and curved, like a bad hair day. Discovered by Harold Johnston as a chance seedling. May grow to 13 feet in ten years.
