Acer palmatum Skeeter's Broom
'Skeeter's Broom' originated from a witches' broom on Bloodgood. It was found and named by Edward "Skeeter" Rodd of Raraflora Nursery in Pennsyvania. Like its parent plant, Skeeter's Broom holds its red color well changing to a purple-red in summer. Its twiggy and upright habit may reach 6 feet, making a perfect addition to any garden.
