Acer palmatum Kasen nishiki

‘Kasen nishiki’ is a variegated maple with leaves that emerge pink before changing to sections of subtle, sometimes speckled, white.  Some variegated leaves may be sickled-shaped.  Variegations often not present in young plants, but will develop in another year or two.  Fall colors are red, orange, and yellow.  This delightful tree, growing to 6 feet in ten years, will make a statement in any sunny or partially shaded garden.
