Acer palmatum Shigure bato

‘Shigure bato’ has almost dissectum leaves which emerge red in spring changing to green for the summer.  Fall colors are gold and crimson.  Its name means “rain of the late fall.”  This slow-growing cultivar may only reach 5 feet in 10 years.  It is a rare cultivar as it is difficult to propagate.
