Acer palmatum Tana

‘Tana’ emerges a light yellowish green with purplish red tip.  The leaves fade to green for the summer.  Fall color is brilliant gold and red.  The name ‘Tana’ means “shelves”, which refers to its growth habit.  The branches grow laterally giving it a characteristic layered effect.  This eye-catching specimen can grow to 12 feet in sun or partial shade.
