Acer palmatum Oridono nishiki

‘Oridono nishiki’ has strikingly pink variegations in the spring.  Its base color is green with extremely diverse splashes of pink, cream, and white in any combination.  Sometimes the leaf can be entirely white or pink.  The bark on this upright cultivar is pink or pink-striped.  Its name means “rich-colored fabric of the master.”  ‘Oridono nishiki’ is sometimes misspelled ‘Orido nishiki’.
